

Larry is the Founder and President of the Leinweber Foundation, providing the vision and leadership that has shaped our mission, values, and three focus areas. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovation continue to guide the Leinweber Foundation’s efforts to create lasting impact across science, education, and community.

Ashley serves as Vice President of the Leinweber Foundation, focusing on strategic direction, grantmaking, and program development. She played tennis and received a BA from Washington & Lee University, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Ashley and her husband Andrew live in Chicago with their beloved and mischievous dog, Hudson.

Jessica serves as Executive Director of the Leinweber Foundation, focusing on the operations of the foundation, program management, and grantee/community relations. She earned a BA in economics and a JD from the University of Michigan. Jessica and her husband David live in the Detroit area with their three children.

Claudia is a founding Board Member of the Leinweber Foundation and loving wife to Larry. She earned a BS in mathematics from Michigan State University and a JD from the Detroit College of Law. Claudia is a strong supporter of many local community organizations, especially those focused on improving the health and wellbeing of families and children.

David is CEO of Ascent Cloud in Detroit, a sales performance management and geolocation SaaS suite of software that helps companies drive sales and motivate their teams. He played football and received a BA from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. David is passionate about revitalizing Detroit and building up the software industry in Michigan.

James is the Senior Research Advisor for the Leinweber Foundation. In his role, he supports the Leinweber Foundation’s theoretical physics programming, focusing on the Leinweber Institutes and Forums for Theoretical Physics. James earned a BS and MS in physics from Brigham Young University, and a PhD in physics from the University of Michigan. James has been a distinguished member of the University of Michigan physics faculty for over 20 years. He is also a fellow of AAAS and the American Physical Society.
